Know Before You Go

  • Waivers and medical forms will be sent electronically in the weeks leading up to your camp start date, or you can complete them here. Registering more than one ocean explorer? Please complete a separate set of forms for each camper at least 7 days before your program starts.

  • AquaCamp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm every day. Sign-in will begin at 8:45am and sign-out will begin at 4:00 pm. You MUST show photo ID upon pick up and your name must match that on our sign-out sheet in order for us to release your child. If you would like to authorize someone to pick up your child other than the name(s) already provided on your registration form, please contact us.

  • Campers can be picked up early but you must let the Education department know prior to the camp day by speaking with AquaCamp staff.

  • Sign your child in and out at the large field to the north of the aquarium, adjacent to the main parking lot. The camp leaders will meet you there. If it is raining, we will have a staff member outside to greet you before we send your camper out.

  • Pay parking is in effect for all of Stanley Park including all stalls and roadways. The parking lots are patrolled and maintained by Easy Park. View parking rates Lot Details.
  • A thirty (30) minute grace period is offered to parents from 8:45 to 9:15 AM and 3:45 to 4:15 PM for program drop-off and pick-up.
  • The Vancouver Aquarium is not responsible for any tickets incurred before/after the program or permits that are not properly displayed.

  • Healthy, nut-free, and ready-to-eat lunch and snacks (30 minute lunch and one 15 minute snack break provided)
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Closed toed shoes that can get wet and muddy (spare shoes are encouraged)
  • Weather appropriate clothing (jacket, hat, change of clothes if necessary)

  • At the Vancouver Aquarium, we strive to provide an inclusive experience for all guests and team members, regardless of their abilities. Visit Accessibility for more information.

To keep our camp fees affordable and ensure a quality experience with proper staffing, each camp session (including single-day and week long camps) requires a minimum number of registered participants to proceed —10 children per session.

If a session does not reach this minimum, we reserve the right to cancel it. This decision is made no later than 72 hours before the scheduled start date, giving us time to notify you and giving you time to make alternate arrangements.

If your camp is canceled due to low enrollment, you will be notified directly and will receive a full 100% refund or, if you prefer, a credit toward a future session. No cancellation fees apply in this situation, as the decision is made on our end, not yours.

We encourage early registration — camps that fill quickly are less likely to be affected by minimum enrollment cancellations, and popular sessions may also close early due to capacity limits.

  • A cancellation request received at least 14 days prior to the start of your registered camp session(s) is subject to a refund, less $25 (per week/per child).
  • Rescheduling within 14 days of the program date will result in a 25% rebooking fee. Missed programs will not be refunded nor rescheduled.
  • A cancellation request received within 14 days weeks of the start of your registered camp session(s) is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Campers can be sent home if their physical or emotional state becomes hazardous to other educators and campers. Campers sent home are not eligible for partial or full refunds.
