Sensory Friendly Hours

Next Event Date: September 24

The Vancouver Aquarium hosts Sensory Friendly hours to welcome neurodiverse individuals, their families and caregivers the opportunity to enjoy the Aquarium. Light and audio levels will be reduced around the aquarium during Sensory Friendly Hours from 9:30am to 12pm.

We are delighted that Pacific Autism Family Network staff will be joining us on September 24 to share about their programs and offer any assistance to those in attendance.

Canucks Autism Network will be on-site on Sunday, October 22 to answer questions about their services and programs.

We also have comfort kits that can be taken out free of charge from the Guest Services Desk, including noise-blocking ear protectors, fidget toys, instructive cue cards and a photographic activity guide.

We are committed to providing all of our visitors, including those who are neurodiverse, the opportunity to connect with the incredible at the Vancouver Aquarium. Come visit the 65,000 animals and over 120 world-class exhibits during our Sensory Friendly Hours!

You can purchase your tickets online and skip the line. Guests with a disability, who purchase a full-price ticket, can invite a personal care attendant to join them for free, to help facilitate their visit. We also accept the Access2 card.
