Vancouver Aquarium is launching a new membership program. New purchasers will have to select their preferred tier, but existing members like yourself are being automatically upgraded to a Gold Membership (valued at $95) at no extra cost. This means you’ll continue to enjoy uninterrupted benefits—and even some additional perks, like a "Swim By Anytime" guest ticket—until your membership expires. All members will have to register their membership on their Online Account* (coming soon*) to receive their added perks, but no action is required until you hear from us again on Feb 25.
Yes! As a valued member, you can continue to enjoy unlimited entry and all your benefits before, on, and after Feb 25. While we recommend activating your Online Account* (coming soon*) in advance to access your new digital pass and exciting new perks—details will be in your next Vancouver Aquarium newsletter—you can also set it up later online or in person during your next visit. You will receive your added benefits like bonus "Swim By Anytime" ticket once your Online Account* (coming soon*) is set up and passes are linked, but in the meantime, your current membership card still works like it always has.
Memberships are now sold individually and are non-transferable, so only one person can be associated with each unique member ID. Current members with dual and family passes are being transitioned to individual passes, but you will have the opportunity to link your passes under the same account on your Online Account* (coming soon*)
Once your new Gold Membership expires, you will have the choice to renew at your current Gold level or move up/down to Platinum or Silver. Renewal rates vary between tier levels and will be outlined on the Member Renewals page after Feb 25. Members always receive the lowest possible price if they renew before their pass expires!
Members will always have the opportunity to switch to a new membership tier when renewing their membership. If you would like to upgrade to another tier level while your current membership is active, please visit Guest Services during your next visit. Please note that no refunds or credits are offered between tier levels.
Yes! Everyone who visits the Vancouver Aquarium must reserve tickets online before their visit, whether they are a longtime member or a first-time visitor. Please account for everyone who will be joining you on your visit. Make your member reservation through the website/Online Account* or the Vancouver Aquarium mobile app*—coming soon*
We strongly encourage all our valued members to set up their Online Account* or mobile app* (coming soon*) when they receive the activation email from us—it's the only way to get your new digital pass and benefits! However, your current membership card can still be scanned and used for entry for as long as your membership is valid. Your card will no longer be considered active if you purchase a new membership instead of renewing your pass.
Full list of benefits and discounts will always be displayed on the Current Members page. Once you've activated your membership on the Online Account* or mobile app* (coming soon*), you can view your active entitlements there. To redeem them, display them on your smartphone from your Online Account* or shrimply pull them up on the Vancouver Aquarium mobile app* (coming soon*) once you arrive at the aquarium. You can also print them off, but we'd recommend the greener digital route.
When you purchase a membership, you will automatically be subscribed to our exclusive Member Newsletter. Gold and Platinum members will receive multiple invite and reminder emails for Member-only events held throughout the year. These newsletters will also update you on special events, new exhibits and animal updates at Vancouver Aquarium and the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Society. Make shore to open them when they hit your inbox!
Vancouver Aquarium is not able to offer free parking. All pay parking in Stanley Park is owned and operated by the City of Vancouver. But don't worry—there is plenty of parking available! View all nearby lots and other transportation options here.
Annual Memberships are valid for one year from the date of purchase. To sea when your pass expires, you can either view your physical membership card, sign in to your Online Account* or mobile app* (coming soon*), or visit our Guest Services desk. Remember to renew before your membership expires to lock in the guaranteed lowest price!
Toddlers under the age of 3 receive free admission to Vancouver Aquarium. When your child turns 3, you will need to purchase a Child Membership (ages 3-12) at any tier level.
Vancouver Aquarium memberships are non-transferable and are for the exclusive use of the person named on the membership.
Members without smartphone access can use their physical Membership Card. If you do not have smartphone access or a physical card, please visit Guest Services.
Gold and Platinum members can purchase discounted guest tickets through your Online Account* (coming soon*) or in-person at Admissions.
