Get ready to make a splash! AquaCamps are the ultimate summer adventure for ocean explorers aged 5–12. From hands-on activities and up-close animal observations to creative crafts and outdoor play, every day is overflowing with fun and discovery.

Campers will meet amazing animals, make new friends (both human and animal), and dive into topics like food webs, life cycles, adaptations, ecosystems and ocean conservation. Learning happens naturally when the adventure is this fun!

What To Expect:

🐟 Hands-On Marine Animal Encounters: Guided by our Education team, campers will get up close with tide pool animals in our interactive Wet Lab classroomβ€”unforgettable, hands on learning experiences.

🐟 Educator-Led Science Activities: Expect fun activities, experiments and crafts around marine biology, ocean ecosystems, and conservation, tied to age-appropriate curricula and designed to spark curiosity about aquatic life.

🐟 Themed Daily Programming: Each day will revolve around a specific topic (ecosystem, animal, or ocean science), with activities like games, scavenger hunts, behind-the-scenes tours, and group discussions keeping campers engaged throughout.

🐟 Best-Of Aquarium Experience: Campers will get the chance to explore two all-new exhibits, Dragons and Amazing Axolotls, while also experiencing family favourites like sea lion training, sea otter feeds, and the immersive 4-D Theatre

Know Before You Go

  • Waivers and medical forms will be sent electronically in the weeks leading up to your camp start date. Registering more than one ocean explorer? Please complete a separate set of forms for each camper at least 7 days before your program starts.

  • AquaCamp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm every day. Sign-in will begin at 8:45am and sign-out will begin at 4:00 pm. You MUST show photo ID upon pick up and your name must match that on our sign-out sheet in order for us to release your child. If you would like to authorize someone to pick up your child other than the name(s) already provided on your registration form, please contact us.

  • Pay parking is in effect for all of Stanley Park including all stalls and roadways. The parking lots are patrolled and maintained by Easy Park. View parking rates Lot Details.
  • A thirty (30) minute grace period is offered to parents from 8:45 to 9:15 AM and 3:45 to 4:15 PM for program drop-off and pick-up.
  • The Vancouver Aquarium is not responsible for any tickets incurred before/after the program or permits that are not properly displayed.

  • Sign your child in and out at the large field to the north of the aquarium, adjacent to the main parking lot. The camp leaders will meet you there. If it is raining, we will have a staff member outside to greet you before we send your camper out.

  • Healthy, nut-free, and ready-to-eat lunch and snacks (30 minute lunch and one 15 minute snack break provided)
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Closed toed shoes that can get wet and muddy (spare shoes are encouraged)
  • Weather appropriate clothing (jacket, hat, change of clothes if necessary)
  • Necessary medication, sunscreen and bug spray

  • A cancellation request received at least 14 days prior to the start of your registered camp session(s) is subject to a refund, less $25 (per week/per child).
  • Rescheduling within 14 days of the program date will result in a 25% rebooking fee.Β Missed programs will not be refunded nor rescheduled.
  • A cancellation request received within 14 days weeks of the start of your registered camp session(s) is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Campers can be picked up early but you must let the Education department know prior to the camp day by speaking with AquaCamp staff.

  • Campers can be sent home if their physical or emotional state becomes hazardous to other educators and campers. Campers sent home are not eligible for partial or full refunds.
